In the beginning, there was the Amida Simputer.

Then, there was Amida Alchemy.

Now, there is OpenAlchemy.

Alchemy is the much acclaimed user interface used by the Amida Simputer, optimised for mobile computing devices. This interface was recently released under the GPL as "OpenAlchemy".

Please feel free to explore this site, which contains source code, documentation, code example, ports, device-specific examples, and much more. Our hope is to see OpenAlchemy become widely used on many different devices, from Simputers to new and futuristic mobile computing devices.
